For the inaugural exhibition “Eclipse of the Thumb” at flamingo berlin, Lukas Müller (*1986) presents a series of new works of different material. In part, found objects are incorporated and will interact with each other in an installation that deals with the topic of childhood in many different ways. In the past year Müller has spent time with his neighbor’s kid playing and talking. Müller tried to incorporate the thoughts of the boy into his work in order to undermine the artists usual practices. The exhibition examines how works of art can emerge out of the playfulness but at the same time can reach a deep level of thought.
